Search Your Irish Roots!

Just beginning your family history research? Stuck on a particular problem and don't know where to look? Our genealogist, Lisa Walsh Dougherty, offers help at the Museum. Just drop in between 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on June 26, July 31, September 25, October 30, or November 27 and get the jump-start you need to pursue your family history!

Our current exhibit in the Museum is the Irish and the Erie Canal.

The Museum is located at 370 Broadway in the heart of downtown Albany. Regular Museum Hours: Wednesday - Friday, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday,  12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Monday-Tuesday, CLOSED
